►◄ Sylvia Plachy, the world-famous Hungarian humanist photographer living in New York will open her exhibition in the Year of the Image.
▼▲ The exhibition at Sfântu Gheorghe will have two parts: the first one will contain those photos which were displayed with the title of When will it be tomorrow? at the Mai Manó Ház in Budapest, and the other part wuth the title of Hope and Dreaming, Transylvania will be a premiere of Sylvia Plachy’s photos of Romania and Transylvania.
► Sylvia Plachy was born in Budapest in 1943 and in December 1956 when she was 13 and the Hungarian Revolution was put down she and her parents crossed over the border to Austria. After two years of waiting in Vienna, they got their green card and entered the United States.
